The Essex Gang Prevention Service (GPS) has been set up to tackle the emerging problems of criminal exploitation and youth violence across the Essex region.

For this reason the GPS is focusing its resources on young people yet to enter the criminal justice system, or not open to Social Care. The GPS is attempting to build resilience within communities by working with Community Safety Partnerships to construct consistent information sharing and deliver locality-specific interventions.
